Chris Wilder hopes the Blades can get on over bogey side Walsall in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Over the years, the Saddlers have always proved tricky opponents for United, none more so than last season where they beat the Blades each time the teams met.

But Wilder is keen to put the record straight at the Lane this time.

He remarked: "Walsall haven't been the greatest club for us to face historically, including losing to them three times last year, but we have an opportunity to put that right on Wednesday night.

"They raise their game to another level against us, I don't know why. We made more changes in the Checkatrade last season, we had disallowed goals and missed a penalty in the league game which was one of those nights and they deservedly won at their place.

"We enjoyed last season, but the three defeats against them didn't sit well with us."
