Enda Stevens believes the Blades can utilise Saturday's derby atmosphere to their advantage, when Barnsley come to S2.
Looking ahead to the lunchtime date with the Tykes, the Dubliner remarked: "Barnsley have got a good squad of players and after a bad start at Bristol City they have picked up four points from the last two matches.
"If my memory serves me right they started last season well too, so we know it will be a tough game, but it's a derby and we've got to thrive off a packed-out Bramall Lane, which should create a fantastic atmosphere."
Stevens added: "We want people to fear coming to the Lane, the home form was terrific last season and it's down to us to maintain it this time around in the Championship.
"We'll be ready, we'll have done our homework and be well prepared and they will know about us too."
