Jamal Blackman hopes to prove himself at Championship level this season, having arrived at Bramall Lane from Chelsea.
The 23-year-old impressed whilst on-loan at Wycombe Wanderers last term and he has confidence in his own ability to make the step up whilst with the Blades for 2017/18.
He commented: "I'd like to think I'm a good shot stopper, I'm agile and can get down quickly despite my size. But obviously my main strength is up in the air and I like to try and be positive.
"I communicate well with the defenders, command my box and work as part of a team at the back. The manager wants me to come here and compete and Simon and Jake and see how it goes."
Blackman added: "Working with top class goalkeepers, you have to work hard, try and replicate their good traits and add it to your game.
"I want to go up step-by-step, I've done that and obviously my obvious aim is to play in the Premier League."
