Chris Wilder says he is happy to have got some minutes into recent signings John Lundstram and Jamal Blackman ahead of the competitive action getting underway on Saturday.
Blackman completed a full 90 against Eastleigh, having joined on a season-long loan from Chelsea, whilst Lundstram featured in the second-half of the 3-2 success in Hampshire.
And Wilder is pleased to have both available ahead of the Championship opener against Brentford, remarking: "Jamal was a target throughout the summer in the goalkeeping department. We feel we've got an excellent youngster who is looking forward to competing with Simon and he was tremendous last year.
"John compliments what we already have. He wants to get on the ball and perhaps forced it a bit at times (at Eastleigh) but that's not a bad attitude to have really."
The Gaffer added: "We will get both up to speed and we're delighted we know have both at our disposal.
