The partnership will see Doncaster Sheffield Airport and Sheffield United work together to promote the airport to the region and offer Blades fans and their families a host of exclusive offers, exciting competitions and lots of chances to win flights.

Located just over 30 minutes' drive from Bramall Lane Stadium, Doncaster Sheffield Airport is the local choice for Blades supporters. The recently opened link road off Jct 3 of the M18 will increase the number of passengers the airport already welcomes from the Sheffield City region. The airport has recently seen its destinations significantly increase thanks to Flybe starting 11 new routes including Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, Malaga, Alicante, Faro, Chambery and Dusseldorf, bringing the airport to over 40 destinations served.
Steve Gill, chief executive at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said: "I'm thrilled to announce this exciting new relationship and look forward to making it a success for all involved, we were delighted to host the kit launch back in June and this is another significant step to link in with supporters of Sheffield United.
As the Sheffield City Region's local airport, we want to be the first choice for all Blades leisure and business travel and I look forward to welcoming more Blades to the airport in the future".
Paul Reeves, Head of Commercial at Sheffield United, said: "We're delighted to announce this significant partnership with Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Both the airport and the Club are committed to developing a successful long term collaboration that will provide tangible benefits to Sheffield United fans as well as assisting the airport in achieving growth in passenger numbers through increased usage of the airport by the residents of the Sheffield City region."
Blades manager Chris Wilder was on hand to launch the new partnership and he said: "This is great news for the club and the fans. I've used Doncaster Sheffield Airport a number of times over the past few years including when the team flew out to La Manga as part of our pre-season preparations - it's our local airport - and more people need to realise how good the facilities are and the wide number of new destinations that are available. This is a great opportunity for Blades fans and the people of Sheffield to learn more about what's on offer, get behind their local airport and maybe even win a great prize. I know the club is very excited about partnering with DSA."
Doncaster Sheffield Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the UK, forecast to welcome over 1.3 million passengers this year. The airlines offering year-round flights include Thomson, Flybe, WizzAir and Aer Lingus. For more information about DSA's destinations and flights, visit www.flydsa.co.uk
