Lord Mayor welcomed to Lane

The Lord Mayor of Sheffield and his three sons were welcomed to Bramall Lane by Sheffield United co-chairman, Kevin McCabe.


Councillor Talib Hussain, of Burngreave, was invited as a VIP to the Blades' home fixture against Oldham Athletic . Councillor Hussain said: "It was a privilege to have been a guest at Bramall Lane for Sheffield United's game against Oldham.


"As someone who feels very strongly about the importance of community, it was fantastic to be directly involved with such a people-focused Club such as Sheffield United."


Sheffield United Operations Director, Dave McCarthy, said: "It was great to welcome the Lord Mayor to Bramall Lane and even better that he was at the Lane for our win against Oldham.


"This Club is all about engaging with the community, so Councillor Hussain's commitment to the people of Sheffield made him even more welcome a guest."
