A crowd of over 4,500 fans enjoyed the thrilling spectacle of somersaulting motorbikes and daredevil stunts at Bramall Lane as Nitro Circus rolled into town as part of its summer UK tour.
The Nitro Circus daredevil riders provided jaw-dropping acrobatics after the home of Sheffield United was converted into a stunt arena for what is described as 'the world's biggest live action sports show".
As well as the FMX riders, the athletes were riding all manners of two-wheeled vehicles including canoes, tricycles and rocking horses as they rode down the 40ft Giganta ramp.
Among the highlights was the "Nitro Bomb", which saw all the Nitro riders of both forms in the air at once, pulling a mass coordinated back-flip.
Blades Operations Director Dave McCarthy remarked: "The huge crowd clearly enjoyed the show and it was good to see them on the edge of their seats as one spectacular leap followed another by the athletes.
"We are committed to bringing top class shows to Bramall Lane as we make use of the versatile Desso pitch that was installed 12 months ago and we hope to announce more events soon.
"The pitch, fully protected throughout the event, showed no signs of damage whatsoever and will be in fantastic shape for the pre-season fixture against Derby County."
