Chris Hussey says the lure of playing at Bramall Lane influenced his decision to join the Blades earlier this month.
The 27-year-old penned a two-year deal with the Blades, who paid Bury an undisclosed fee for his services and the left-back, who once scored twice for Burton Albion in a League Cup tie at the Lane, is excited about what the future holds in South Yorkshire.
Hussey commented: "Performing in front of the biggest crowd at this level will help me up my game.
"I don't understand why anyone might think it's a hindrance because it's anything but. If anything, it should get you going.
"To get promoted, you need to win the majority of your home games and we lost too many here last season.
"With the fans on our side, I know we can rectify that. This stadium, these fans, will be key for us."
The former Wimbledon defender added: "Okay, if you make a few mistakes then people are going to get on your back. But that's part and parcel of football.
"It's just how you perceive it and I'm positive, I think it's a good thing."
"This is a huge football club. I spoke with the gaffer, we share the same ideals and I can't wait to get started."
