A significant China-based property and development group has agreed a sponsorship deal with Sheffield United.
Representatives of The Hualing Group visited the Club's Bramall Lane stadium where its name and brand will be emblazoned across the South Stand in an initial one-year, six figure deal.
The links between the Blades, co-owner Kevin McCabe's Scarborough Group and The Hualing Group based in Urumqi, Xinjiang province are growing.
Sheffield United's Head of Commercial Paul Reeves along with Paul Kelly, from the Scarborough Group were on hand to greet the Hualing delegation of Michael Rex, Grant Chien and Alex Mong at Bramall Lane.
Last season The Hualing Group, major investors in Scarborough's Northern Powerhouse projects in Manchester and Leeds, played an integral role in the visit by 22 players, staff and officials from United's Academy to Urumqi - the most landlocked city in the world - to spread the message of the Club and the beautiful game.
Mr McCabe said: "The sponsorship is a very positive example of the benefits that can come to the Club through its strong tradition of developing footballing and commercial relationships on an international basis.
"We are delighted to have such an important and flourishing business from China on board with the Blades. Hopefully there will be further ties between The Hualing Group and the Blades to come," added Mr McCabe.
Michael Rex from The Hualing Group said: "We are delighted to further extend our relationship with Sheffield United as The Hualing Group looks to build awareness of its expansion into overseas markets, particularly here in the United Kingdom where we are already involved in a number of significant projects."
