Parramore 1-5 Blades - report

29 July 2016

Chris Wilder's United rounded off the pre-season programme with a victory over local non-league outfit Handsworth Parramore.

The success saw the Blades finish the friendlies with four wins and two defeats.

At Worksop on Friday night, the Blades had to come from behind to beat Parramore, who took a fourth minute lead through FROGGATT.

SCOUGALL levelled five minutes later but other chances from Clarke, Reed and McNulty failed to bring United the lead before the break.

United went ahead on 56 minutes through ADAMS, following a ricochet from a Coutts pass, and three minutes later substitute BROOKS made it three with a neat low shot.

New signing CLARKE netted his first Blades goal on 72 minutes after quick feet around the box and SCOUGALL completed the scoring following good work by Freeman in the final minute.

Blades: Long, Freeman, Davey, J Wright, K Wallace, Reed (Whiteman 45), Coutts, Adams, Scougall, McNulty (Brooks 45), Clarke (Gordon 78).
