United's U18s made it four league wins on the bounce, by hitting Bolton Wanderers for six at the SteelPhalt Academy at Shirecliffe on Saturday.
A hat-trick from second-half substitute Tyler Smith was the highlight of a resounding victory, with Stephen Mallon, Harvey Gilmour and Jordan Hallam, with his 13th of the season, also on target for United.
After Adebowale had headed wide within the opening minute, MALLON opened the scoring for the hosts in the next attack with an excellent individual goal, cutting in from the right before finishing with his left foot.
One quickly became two in the 6th minute as GILMOUR finished confidently from inside the box after good work down the right by Crofts.
Bolton enjoyed a promising spell before half-time but United defended well and only the linesman's flag denied Hall who tapped in the rebound after Mallon's shot was parried back into danger by the visiting goalkeeper.
The beginning of the second period saw Adebowale produce a timely last-ditch tackle, before a double substation on the hour led to United domination for the final 30 minutes.
SMITH and Ford replaced Hall and Mallon and it was former who was to have a big impact on the game. He got his first goal and the Blades third in the 66th minute, with Crofts again claiming an assist after Ramsdale had got things moving quickly at the back.
HALLAM got in on the act in the 78th minute slotting the ball into the net calmly past the advancing goalkeeper and SMITH then smashed home his second moments later with Ford this time getting the assist with a well weighted through ball.
The rout was completed in added time as SMITH notched his hat-trick after capitalising on a short back pass to round off a whirlwind last half hour.
