Simon looking for more points

22 December 2016

Goalkeeper Simon Moore says the Blades are targeting consecutive home victories over the festive period to end 2016 on a high.

United will be in second place on Sky Bet League One at Christmas and looking ahead to a busy couple of weeks, Moore sees no reason why the Blades can't accumulate a health points haul.

The stopper commented: "The last two or three months have gone very quick, but the results overall have been excellent and we're in a very good position as we speak.

"We're very much looking forward to the next couple of matches to end the year, then we have two tough away trips to kick-off 2017, but we're excited about the challenge that lies ahead.

"We know we've got a lot of work to do to be successful, but the lads have a genuine togetherness and desire to succeed and that will only help us as the season progresses."

The in-form goalkeeper added: "We're focusing on ourselves, we don't fear anybody and we enter every game with a confidence and belief that we are capable of winning it.

"The most important thing is not to look too far ahead, it's a cliché but it's a game at a time and there aren't any easy games in this league, that was proved at Coventry.

"But we have an excellent group of players here and we've proved already that we're capable of putting a really good run together."
