Kieran Wallace has joined League One rivals Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan.
The left-back, who joined the Blades from Ilkeston FC in November 2014, impressed at the beginning of last season, before seeing injuries disrupt the remainder of his campaign.
In total, the former Nottingham Forest trainee has made 23 appearances for United.
The 21-year-old becomes the second Blade to make the switch to the Lancashire coast this month, following Martyn Woolford's move and Wallace could make his Cod Army debut against Coventry City at Highbury Stadium on Saturday.
Chris Wilder commented: "Kieran is one of the lads we transfer listed in the summer and he wants to play more regularly so this is a great opportunity for him. We wish him all the best."
