John Fleck is hoping not to be sidelined too long with the groin injury that forced him out of Tuesday's encounter with Southend United.
The Scottish midfielder limped out of the contest at half-time but says his injury is responding to treatment.
"It was about 25-30 minutes into the game that the problem occurred, I went in for a tackle and afterwards it seized up on me," said Fleck.
"Fortunately, it has felt better as the week has gone on, working the physios. Saturday will probably come too quickly but there is an opportunity of a full week's training before the next game after that and that's the focus."
On United's start, the summer addition commented: "Of course, results haven't been great, it was horrendous the other night and that's one of the reasons why I'm keen to get back out on to the park.
"The Gaffer had a go at us the other night and rightly so but we are confident that the first result is just around the corner and then we will look to kick on - football changes very quickly and a couple of wins on the bounce will get us moving in the right direction."
