United's U18s made it three consecutive wins to further boost their hopes of a top two finish, with Coventry City put to the sword at the SteelPhalt Academy on Saturday.
Jordan Hallam got his 22nd and 23rd of the season either side of Brodie Licthfield's strike as the Blades continue to impress this term, under Coach Travis Binnion at SHirecliffe.
United went ahead as early as the seventh minute when HALLAM converted from the penalty spot for his after Hall was brought down having latched onto Ramsdale's punt forward.
Despite Coventry's best efforts, the hosts doubled the lead in the 11th minute, with a combination of Smith and LITCHFIELD forcing the ball over the line, although it was the latter that was credited with the goal.
The Sky Blues then missed a golden opportunity to reduce the arrears, as the onrushing striker blazed over with the goal at his mercy, at the other end, before the interval, Hallam and Smith had chances to score a third.
The Blades started the second period brightly and in the 50th minute HALLAM got his second, his 23rd of the season, converting confidently after Hall had run from inside his own half to the byline before cutting the ball back.
Ramsdale was alert to maintain his clean sheet, before substitute Crofts could have got in on the act having been played in behind the visitors backline.
With the points in the bag, Cummings fired wide from a corner; before Hallam nearly completed his hat-trick only to be denied by an excellent full length save by the City goalkeeper.
