United's U18s made it four games unbeaten with a hard fought point against Watford, who became Southern title winners following this stalemate at the SteelPhalt Academy on Saturday.
In a tight game between two evenly matched sides, it was the hosts who had the better chances at Shirecliffe, but it was a day for defending as both teams deservedly registered a clean sheet.
The Blades best chance of the first-half saw Brown have a header cleared off the line from Hallam's pinpoint corner, as goalscoring opportunities were at a premium.
In the second-half, following the introduction of trialist Ndjoli, Hall missed the game's biggest opportunity, when he failed to find the target from close range and the striker missed again, this time following good work by the lively Hallam.
At the other end, Ramsdale had to be at his best to keep the scores level in the 75th minute tipping a powerful effort onto the post diving away to his right, and then Brown was on hand to make a timely block following a goalmouth scramble.
The game ebbed and flowed in the final ten minutes as both sides pushed for that elusive winner, but in the end there was no separating the sides and the point was enough for the Hornets to be crowned Southern champions, whilst the Blades remain on course for a top two finish in the Northern section.
Blades: Ramsdale, Charlesworth, Brown, Gilmour, Slater, Cummings, Semple, Crofts (Ndjoli 45), Slater, Hall, Hallam (T. Smith 76), K. Smith (Mallon 67).
Unused: Perryman, Graham.
