A partnership between the suppliers of the number one pie choice for football fans and Sheffield United has been extended by a further three years.
In a six figure deal, South Yorkshire-based Eric Twigg Foods who still have a year left of their initial contract have agreed to sponsor the Pukka Pies Stand until 2019 - having seen an 85 per cent increase in pastry product sales at the Bramall Lane stadium over the last two years.
On average nearly 3,000 Pukka Pies per home fixture are consumed by Blades fans. They are supplied by wholesalers Eric Twigg Foods, a family run business based at Parkgate, Rotherham.
Managing Director Matthew Twigg said: "We are delighted to extend our sponsorship of the Pukka Pies Stand that sits between The Kennedys Kop and the Duchy Homes Family Stand. We are a local company and have become the fans' choice for pies at Bramall Lane".
Paul Reeves, Sheffield United's Head of Commercial, said: "Football and the brand of Pukka Pies very much go hand in hand. We are looking forward to working with Eric Twigg Foods in the future in what has already become a tremendously successful partnership.
"To extend a contract over this period of time shows the level of commitment from both parties and one that again gives the Club and our fans a great product for the concourse on a match day"
