Westfield Health partnership extended

8 October 2015

Sheffield United Football Club has announced an extended partnership with its longest serving sponsor.

The sponsorship initiative will see leading health insurer Westfield Health work more closely than ever before with the Blades. The company plans on using the popularity of, and interest in, 'the beautiful game' to help encourage people to live healthier lifestyles.

The partnership means Westfield Health will continue its sponsorship of the Bramall Lane Corner Stand as well as the John Street enclosure for disabled people.

Paul Shires, Executive Director - Sales and Marketing at Westfield Health, said: "We're delighted to extend our partnership with Sheffield United.

"Westfield Health has a proud history with the club, and we're excited to continue our support which will allow us to engage with fans, the public and organisations to help encourage more people to lead a healthier lifestyle.

"Whether through encouraging children to get into sport or helping fans to make healthy lifestyle choices, this partnership provides a great number of opportunities for us to support the health and wellbeing of our local community.

"We're really looking forward to partnering with the club during the forthcoming season."

Sheffield United Head of Commercial Paul Reeves said: "Westfield Health has been one of the Club's longest serving sponsors and the extension of its sponsorship of the Westfield Health Stand shows great continued commitment to the Football Club.

"This new agreement is very much aimed at the interaction with our supporters and delivering a health and wellbeing agenda through our own Community Foundation."

Mark Todd, Head of Community, Sheffield United Community Foundation, said: "The Foundation is delighted to be given the opportunity to complement this new sponsorship agreement by working in partnership with Westfield Health. As trusted providers, both organisations share a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of the people of Sheffield."
