The Blades are saddened to learn of the news that former manager Howard Kendall passed away on Saturday morning, aged 69.
He is probably best known for his time at Everton, where he was a player and managed the Toffees on three occasions.
At Bramall Lane, he took over in December 1995 and stayed until June 1997, leading the Club to the First Division play-off final in 1997.
He also managed Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City and Notts County, as well as number of clubs abroad.
All at Sheffield United offer sincere condolences to Howard's family and friends at this sad time.
