Rare items to be auctioned for children's charities

27 November 2015

The Blades have put further items on our official ebay page in an attempt to raise funds for two local children's charities.

Three FA Cup footballs, used by the Sheffield United first team to warm up during the six fixtures in the 2014-15 FA Cup campaign, including the away win at QPR, are up for grabs. These special edition balls have been signed by the 2015-16 squad and proceeds from the sale of these footballs will be used to buy gifts for youngsters in the Children's Hospital and Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

Two of last season's yellow and black United away shirts, signed by the first team squad of 2015-16, are up for auction too.

Meanwhile, the final item for sale is a real collector's item - a Sheffield United 2003 FA Cup signed and framed semi-final shirt.

The Blades lost 1-0 to Arsenal in a game played at Old Trafford. Though not match worn, it one of the extra shirts created for the game that is embroidered with the match details below the Blades badge and was signed ahead of the day by the squad and is beautifully framed.

The items will be on ebay until Monday 7th December at www.ebay.co.uk/usr/sufc_official‚Äč
