Kieran Wallace has committed his long-term future to the Blades by signing a new contract.
The versatile performer, who joined the Blades from Ilkeston FC last November, has impressed during his time at Bramall Lane, featuring frequently at first team level this season under the management of Nigel Adkins and his coaching staff.
The 20-year-old previously had his contract extended in the summer, but having made 15 appearances to date this season in a number of positions, boss Adkins has moved swiftly to ensure he has the services of the former Nottingham Forest trainee until the summer of 2018.
The Blades boss commented: "We are very pleased to have extended Kieran's contract and we hope it will give him more stability moving forward. Since the day we joined, his attitude, behaviour and commitment has been first class and he is improving as a player all the time.
"He has certainly done very well this season and we believe he is in an environment with the right people round him to develop further. Now he has more security we are confident he will continue on that upward development curve."
