Nigel Adkins is determined to progress to the northern-area semi-final stage of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, despite revealing he is poised to make changes for Tuesday tie at Fleetwood Town.
But the Blades boss is confident the side he puts out at Highbury Stadium will be competitive against Steven Pressley's Cod Army, who United beat 3-0 in Sky Bet League One just three weeks ago.
Looking ahead, the Gaffer commented: "Fleetwood Town in the JPT is our next game and out of respect for the opposition, our focus is always the next one.
"Yes we will make changes, we have done in this competition and we did in the Capital One Cup, but at the same time we want to win, progress to the next round and build up some momentum before returning to league action against Southend United.
"We have stated since day one that winning promotion is our number one priority this season, that will not change as we go through the season, but if we can do well in cup competitions along the way too, then that will be fantastic."
Adkins added: "We have utilised the squad previously and when everyone is fit we have a big squad, so it is imperative that we get certain players valuable minutes to ensure they are sharp and match fit.
"Fleetwood are a good side, despite us winning the league fixture at Bramall Lane last month, they showed then that they are a resolute team who are difficult to breakdown."
