Loan watch

16 March 2015

United have several players currently plying their trade elsewhere, many of them youngsters gaining valuable first-team experience at non-league clubs.

Otis Khan, Jamie McDonagh and Julian Banton are all currently with Matlock Town and the trio started at the weekend, as the Gladiators lost 1-0 to Workington at Causeway Lane in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

Defender Sam Berry has extended his loan at Welling United, who play in the Vanarama Conference. The centre-half completed a full 90 minutes as the Wings beat Lincoln City 2-0 at Sincil Bank on Saturday.

Meanwhile, CJ Hamilton made his Gainsborough Trinity debut in the 1-0 victory over Leamington over the weekend, whilst Jason Paling continues to gain experience with Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Elsewhere, George Long played for Morterwell against SPL title contenders Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium on Friday night in a 2-1 defeat.

Finally, Diego De Girolamo was a late substitute for York City in their goalless draw with Carlisle United, whilst Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Florent Cuvelier didn't feature in the matchday squads for Notts County and Burton Albion respectively.
