Holt hoping for home comforts

19 March 2015

Jason Holt says a maximum return of nine points from the next three home matches should go a long way towards securing a top six finish in Sky Bet League One.

The on-loan midfielder remarked: "We are six unbeaten now away from home in the league and now we have three big home matches and a real chance to cement our position in the top six and possible move up the table too.

"We have lost our couple of matches at Bramall Lane, but that has gone now and we have another opportunity to put nine points on the board in the space of a week.

"We can't afford any more slips and the lads know that and are determined to put things right."

Reflecting on Tuesday's draw at Walsall, the Scotsman added: "Walsall aren't a bad side, it was a tough game, but the lads dug in and got a point.

"Not losing away from home is good, obviously we would have preferred three points and probably deserved them, but it is a point gained rather than two dropped."
