Terry Kennedy says he still hopes to play a big part in the conclusion of United's Sky Bet League One campaign.
That is despite the news that was confirmed last week that he will miss around four weeks with cartilage damage to his troublesome knee, an injury sustained at Crawley Town last month.
Trying to remain positive, despite the blow, Kennedy remarked: "It is good news that I will only miss around a month or so and hopefully be back in the team before the end of the season because when it happened I thought it could have been months and months on the sidelines.
"But it is still frustrating, it has been such a good few months for me personally, having got myself fit and into the team. After signing a new contract recently I was really looking to push on, but something always seems to happen.
"I have to keep working hard, though, and believe that if I do my opportunities will come along again."
