United's U21s returned to winning ways with a resounding victory over Bristol City at City's Failand training complex on Monday afternoon.
Stefan Scougall opened the scoring after just a couple of minutes and went on to complete an hour, whilst Terry Kennedy captained the side and completed 45 minutes.
Che Adams doubled United's lead, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ben Whiteman added their names to the scoresheet in the second-half to secure a first win in five matches.
SCOUGALL opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute tapping home following Hamilton's pull back.
Just six minutes United doubled the advantage. Richards in the City goal did well to initially deny Kennedy who had headed powerfully at goal, but ADAMS was first to react to the rebound to fire home.
The visitors continued to look a threat for much of the first period, with City struggling to cope with United's pace in offensive
In the 57th minute, two became three, this time CALVERT-LEWIN applied the finishing touch from close-range following good work on the left by McFadzean.
United made it four in the 71st minute. City were caught by a swift counter attack which ended with Calvert-Lewin laying it off to WHITEMAN, who struck the ball low and hard into the far corner.
The Blades remained in control until the final whistle to run out worthy winners, much to the delight of Chris Morgan, who remarked:
"It was a thoroughly deserved victory and a very good all round team performance.
"Scoring two early goals set us up nicely, but we controlled the game for long periods and always looked liked adding to our tally. It is also nice to have kept a clean sheet.
"Tel (Kennedy) and Scougs got some important minutes under their belts, whilst it was nice to see Louis Reed and Callum McFadzean back from international duty.
"All in all it was a very good afternoon."
