Nigel Adkins says he and his staff will manage the high level of expectation that comes with being at a Club like United in a positive manner.
The former Scunthorpe and Southampton boss, who has masterminded three promotions from League One in recent seasons is optimistic that will become four at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
Looking ahead, he commented: "I love football and this is a proper Football Club, we want to bring success to the Blades.
"If you are going to be in football, you want challenges and the chance to win something and we have that now at Sheffield United.
"You don't want an easy job, you want a good job at a Club with ambitions to be the best it possibly can be and if we can get the crowd going at Bramall Lane the noise will be frightening.
"On the other hand we know that the expectation is massive and rightly so and if things are going to plan then we expect to be asked the difficult questions and there might be times when we are seething inside, but we must remain united."
Adkins continued: "My objective is to win promotion to the Championship at the first attempt, the owners know that and that goal is the one we will all be striving for next season.
"We want to use our experiences from previous clubs and utilise that throughout the season to make us the best we can be.
"We want to play winning football but we want the players to be comfortable in what we are asking them to do, that is crucial at all times."
