Teenage Blades midfielder Louis Reed played a full 90 minutes as England U18s won in Moscow on Monday.
The 17-year-old is part of an 18-man squad to travel to Russia for a double header with the hosts.
He completed a full game as goals from Newcastle United's Adam Armstrong and Fulham's Patrick Roberts secured a 2-0 success at Arena Khimki in Moscow.
Louis tweeted: "Buzzing to beat Russia 2-0, great effort from the lads. Pleasure to play for England again."
England and Russia meet at the same venue on Wednesday.
