The variation of the three goals scored in Tuesday's pre-season victory pleased boss Nigel Adkins.
The Blades followed up Saturday's success over Ilkeston with a 3-1 success at Conference club Cheltenham Town.
Che Adams netted in the first half, whilst late goals from Michael Higdon and Jose Baxter secured the win at Whaddon Road.
However, it was the manner of the goals that impressed the United chief.
He said afterwards: "The first was a fantastic goal from Che Adams, who latched on to a superb pass from Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The second was from a corner, we need to be more effective from set-pieces, it was a cross from Martyn Woolford and a great finish from Michael Higdon, and then we finished with a counter-attack goal, which Jose Baxter put away after good stuff from Kieron Freeman and Jamie Murphy.
"It is great that we have scored a range of goals and it is a reward because all the lads have applied themselves in the right manner once again.
"The guys have stepped up the game time, that was the plan and it the plan for when we play Exeter on Thursday, but against Cheltenham it was a good competitive game which we will benefit from."
