Boss ready for Exeter trip

23 July 2015

Nigel Adkins takes his side to Exeter City tonight and Blades fans could probably guess his starting line-up.

After Tuesday's victory at Cheltenham Town, the Blades chief commented: "We gave some lads 60 minutes and others 30, we'll flip it around at Exeter so everyone gets the same amount of minutes on the pitch."

That is likely to see Martyn Woolford make his first Blades start, with the likes of Jose Baxter and Michael Higdon given another chance to impress after scoring at Cheltenham.

Adkins added: "Martyn did well at left-back as we had lost Bob Harris through injury. Martyn and Jamie Murphy linked up well and that's a very attacking left-sided option. It wasn't planned, but it worked well."

The United boss also highlighted the endeavours of a couple of other players ahead of the 7.30pm kick off at St James Park.

"Both Kieran Wallace and Connor Dimaio have had to play out of their usual positions at centre back and right back respectively due to an imbalance in the squad but both have done tremendous well, it has to be said."
