Hull 0-5 U18s - report

29 January 2015

United ended 2015 by hitting five of the best against Hull City.

Hull dominated for long spells in the first-half as the Blades struggled to impose themselves on the game, although defensively they rarely looked troubled.

United though sprung into life in the 35th minute, HALLAM reacted first to the rebound after Gordon's long range thunderbolt had hit the post.

From that point, the Blades dominated the remainder of the half, with Litchfield and Hallam both wasteful in front of goal.

The second period was full of incident, Hull had claims for a penalty waved away following a challenge from Cummings and United doubled their lead moments later.

Hall released the onrushing MAW who kept his composure and finished despite being under pressure. Two quickly became three as HALL went from provider to scorer with a neat finish and the Blades weren't done there.

LITCHFIELD made it four with a well taken strike before substitute MALLON rounded off the scoring with a confident finish after excellent work down the left by Kelly.

Gordon and Hall had chances to make it a half dozen, but it mattered not as United's impressive form continued.

Blades: Ramsdale, Charlesworth, Kelly, Ford (Gilmour 64), Cummings, Adebowale, Maw, Gordon, Litchfield (Mallon 76), Hall, Hallam (T. Smith 64).
Unused: Brown, Perryman.
