Blades boss Nigel Adkins predicts Saturday's Boxing Day clash against Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium will be a closely fought encounter.
United travel across the Pennines on the back of three consecutive 1-0 victories in all competitions, but awaiting them in Lancashire is a Latics side that have lost just twice in their last ten Sky Bet League One outings.
And like his own side, Adkins admits he expects Wigan to be amongst those pushing for promotion come the end of the campaign.
He remarked: "Wigan are a very good side, we knew that when we looked at the division in the summer.
"And having adapted to the league they have impressed in the last couple of months.
"Like ourselves they have a big squad and several talented players that they are able to call upon.
"They have added to what they already had by using the loan market and Saturday's fixture will be another tough game for us, but it is the next game and a chance for us to continue the momentum we have built up."
The Gaffer added: "We will train on Christmas Day as it is important we get our preparation, but Christmas is about spending time with your family and the players will get an opportunity to do that too.
"We will then go to Wigan with a positive mindset, backed by our usual excellent travelling and hopefully we can give them something to cheer."
