Nigel Adkins thinks Monday's festive Yorkshire derby against Bradford City at Bramall Lane could be a 'cracker'.
And ahead of the 3pm kick-off, Adkins believes the Bantams perhaps don't get the plaudits they deserve.
On the opposition, the Blades boss remarked: "Let's give Bradford credit, they are more than just a direct side, they have the ability to play too.
"But they do have the players to get the ball forward quickly and we will have to be resolute and compete from the first minute to the last.
"Bradford have developed under Phil and with that they have managed to evolve the ability to play in different ways."
But with the Blades looking for a fourth consecutive success in all competitions, Adkins is optimistic about his own team's outlook.
He added: "The next game is always the opportunity we refer to and Bradford are the team in front of us.
"It should be a cracker, there will be a big crowd inside Bramall Lane and our fans will expect a performance, we do too.
"We want things to be exciting, we want the supporters to enjoy coming down to the Lane, but at the moment we are trying to find a balance between style and substance and hopefully they can see we are moving in the right direction."
