Nigel Adkins along with players Che Adams, Harrison McGahey and Louis Reed made a special visit to St Wilfrid's Centre on Queen's Road to join in with their annual Christmas celebrations.
They joined the Lord Mayor, Talib Hussain, leader of the City Council, Julie Dore, the Bishop of Hallam, Ralph Heskett and Radio Sheffield's Andy Kershaw. Claremont Hospital's Nicola Manton, other Sheffield United representatives and clients of the Centre were all present for a sit down lunch.
The lunch was followed by entertainment by staff and volunteers from St Wildfrid's and the afternoon ended with the traditional rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' and a visit from Father Christmas.
The festivities also included the presentation of the annual sports awards by Adkins and his players and service awards by the Lord Mayor. Many of those receiving awards are Blades supporters which made the occasion extra special.
On the event, Nigel Adkins commented, "This is my first visit to St Wilfrid's so thank you for the invitation.
"The atmosphere was wonderful and I am impressed by the work the Centre does. It was a pleasure to be able to hand out the awards with the players."
