United's Redtooth Academy have recently brought some silverware back to Shirecliffe, following a recent trip overseas to Norway.
A Blades representative side, consisting of U13s and U14 players, won the 16-team tournament beating a host of clubs from across Scandinavia, including the likes of Viking Stavanger, SK Brann, Skeid FC, Oppsal and Hammarby IF.
United recovered from falling behind to Oppsal in the semi-final, to eventually recording a 2-1 win and set up a final clash against local team SK Brann, with tournament being staged in Bergen.
The Blades led 1-0 for most of the game, but the home side equalised with the last kick of the game to send the tie to extra-time and after that couldn't separate the sides, penalty kicks were required.
For once the English were not to be denied and United's youngsters held their nerve to cap a fantastic trip off with a trophy.
Congratulations to all the players that made the trip and served their Club with distinction...
Meanwhile, United's U12s are playing tournament football in Turkey over the recent Easter holidays, competing against the likes of European giants Juventus, Roma, Paris St Germain and Athletic Bilbao to name just four, not to mention Turkish sides Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
The youngsters will gain priceless experience in the Izmir Cup, with Blades Director Selahattin Baki instrumental in United's inclusion in the prestigious competition in his homeland.
