Ben Davies pulled no punches in his assessment of the Blades midweek victory at Colchester United.
Only a remarkable cpomeback in the last ten minutes which yielded three goals in a crazy five minute period saw the Blades leave the Weston Homes Community Stadium clutching the win, but Davies admitted he wasn't deserved.
The two-goal hero commented: "We certainly played a get out of jail card, because we were very poor by our standards for 70 minutes.
"We were sloppy in training on Monday and that transferred into the game, it wasn't acceptable and mustn't be repeated.
"Full credit to Colchester they were right at it and should have won the game but for a crazy spell which doesn't happen very often at all."
Looking back on the goals, Davies, who displayed his versatility by starting the game in central midfield, added:
"The first goal was a clean strike and gave us a bit of momentum. The second one was well worked and I would always fancy myself from the penalty spot, especially having already scored the first.
