Nigel Clough is confident his players will produce a positive performance against Rochdale on Saturday.
The Blades return to Sky Bet League One action after two weeks without a game following the postponement of the home clash with the MK Dons last week, owing to international call-ups and Clough expects his team to be ready and focused against their free scoring opponents from over the Pennines.
Looking forward to the weekend, the Blades boss praised Keith Hill and Dale for how they have started life back in League One, but insisted it will be all about United's performance come 3pm on Saturday.
He commented: "We won't know if the 'break' was a good thing or bad thing until Saturday night, but we believe we needed the rest and we are sure the players will be raring to go so hopefully it will have been of benefit to us in the long run.
"The week off enabled us to get the players
carrying knocks back to full fitness.
"If we play to the standard we did against West Ham and Preston then I am sure we will win more than we lose and hopefully we will be quick out of the blocks at the weekend and pick up from where we left off at Deepdale, because that was a terrific performance."
On the visitors, he added: "I am sure Keith will be pleased with the start they have made. They have picked up some good wins and performed well against the better sides in the division, so they will come to Bramall Lane full of confidence.
"Of late they have scored seven goals in two away games so that tells us they are obviously a very dangerous team on the break, but they are also a very good footballing side so know we will have to be at our best to extend our unbeaten run and add to our points tally."
