Stefan set for derby clash

16 October 2014

Stefan Scougall insists the Blades will go into Saturday's Yorkshire derby at Bradford City targeting all three points, despite recent away defeats at Swindon Town and Chesterfield.

The Scottish midfielder is acutely aware United's away form must improve and he sees no reason why the turnaround on the road shouldn't start at the Coral Windows Stadium in front of the live Sky Sports cameras.

He commented: "It is another big game, another difficult fixture against a good side but we are confident of going there and getting a much needed away win.

"We were very poor at Swindon, better at Chesterfield despite the result, but we know we need to start picking up points in away matches to help us try and cement a top six spot.

"This is always a hectic time of the season and the games will continue to come thick and fast with us still in both cup competitions, but we need to start adding to our home form with extra points."

On the likely threats of the Bantams, Scougall added: "Bradford are a good side, especially at home, but it isn't just James (Hanson) we have to focus on, they have other good options going forward and as a team we have to make sure we defend better than we have done previously.

"At the other end, we need to get at them, put their defenders on the back foot and hopefully we will be more clinical with the chances we create."
