Jay McEveley believes the weekend's defeat to Barnsley was nothing more than a blip.
He refuses to be despondent following the defeat to his former club and points to a number of factors.
He said: "Yes, it was disappointing to lose the game but the performance was on a par with recent games when we were picking up wins. It is not as if the performance dropped, we just switched off at a crucial time and we were punished.
"I genuinely believe the performance level was there, as was the desire and fitness level.
"Going forward, we were trying to force things, I don't think there was a major problem with the service, we got a few good balls into the box, maybe we need to throw a few more bodies forward, but we cannot nit pick too much, we were on top for a lot of the game."
The versatile defender is now choosing to look forward rather than back, adding: "We now have two cup games to concentrate on and maintain the levels of performance of recent weeks. Winning games builds confidence and the aim is to get back on a winning run as soon as possible."
