Michael Higdon and Marc McNulty both came through 45 minutes action unscathed as United drew 1-1 with Bradford City in a behind closed doors friendly at Shirecliffe on Tuesday afternoon.
Florent Cuvelier also returned to action following over 11 months out with a serious knee injury, whilst Che Adams and trialist Kieron Wallace featured for the Blades, who equalised in the second-half through Ben Whiteman, after James Hanson had put Bradford, who also included Alan Sheehan in their team, ahead on the stroke of half-time.
Speaking after the game, Blades boss Nigel Clough remarked: "Michael and Marc both played as planned and came through unscathed meaning they are added to the squad and in contention to feature against Notts County, which is excellent news.
"The plan was always to give Flo 30 minutes or so, we would have liked to have given him a bit longer but he felt something in training and we took the decision not to push him too hard too soon.
"He did ok and we plan to get him some more minutes in another friendly next week.
"Che (Adams) and trialist Kieron Wallace, also from Ilkeston did well too, so it was a very worthwhile fixture at this stage of the season."
