Blades season ticket holder Martin Hodder has realised a childhood dream.
His company's name will feature on United kits for the next two seasons.
Business to business mobile phone specialists Blue Portal Telecom, based at Newton Chambers Road, Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield are the new home and away short sponsors.
Trading since 2003, the driving force behind Blue Portal is Martin and co-director David Dickens, from Huddersfield.
The branded shorts were first worn for the televised game against Bradford City. The two Directors recently met the first team playing and coaching staff at a visit to the Redtooth Academy, including players Marc McNulty and Jose Baxter plus manager Nigel Clough.
"As a season ticket holder for over 10 years at the Lane this is a dream come true for me. I just hope to see the lads wearing the shorts at Wembley in a Cup run and certainly in the Championship!" said Martin. "The partnership with United will certainly help to enhance our profile at local, regional and national levels.
Paul Reeves, United's head of commercial, said: "This is another new major commercial partner on board. Blue Portal is a local business supporting the Football Club. This is a two year partnership and we look forward to helping Blue Portal achieve further success in the business to business mobile phone market."
