Ben Davies netted United's final goal of the 2013-14 campaign and says he has loved his loan spell at the Lane.
The utility player arrived in February and made 20 appearances, scoring three goals, all at the Kop end at S2, including Saturday's winner against Coventry City.
"It was a nice way to finish the season, collecting another win, although it is tinged with a slight disappointment as we finished seventh," said Ben.
"With us not being able to get in the play-offs, some managers would have allowed the players to take the foot off the gas, but not our Gaffer. He kept stressing the point that he wanted us to finish the season strongly, he believes in momentum."
Ben added: "I've loved it here, when you play in front of 20,000 it is not like playing for a League One club. I'd like to thank everyone for making it special and it was great to contribute with the final goal of the season.
"My contract runs out at Derby in the summer and we'll have to wait and see what happens."
