Nigel Clough has treated his squad to a couple of days of 'R&R' in the build-up to Monday evening's visit to Deepdale.
The Blades face Preston North End looking to extend the impressive run to 11 successive wins and with five days between the home victory over Carlisle United and televised Deepdale encounter, Clough opted for a different approach.
"The lads have had a bit of rest and recovery," said Clough. "We've had a few days away together, a bit of sunshine and bonding, giving one or two of the new lads a chance to get to know their team-mates.
"Physically we were out on our feet late on in the Carlisle game and this was an opportunity to get away from regular training that we might not get again before the end of the season."
Clough added: "The next two games are very tough tests. Preston are as good as a side we have seen in this division and they will push for automatic promotion, if not they will be favourites for the play-offs.
"They have an awful lot of strikers and experience throughout the team but we will be concentrating on our own form and hoping to continue our run."
