No let up, says Jose

4 March 2014

Jose Baxter insists the Blades will be going all out to finish as high as possible in League One this season.

Speaking after a run of seven consecutive wins in all competitions prior to Tuesday's clash with Peterborough United, Baxter commented: "I still think we've got a lot to offer. I think we can continue this run for a lot longer.

"The manager is realistic though and he won't let anyone get complacent or carried away.

"We are like that in the squad too. But stranger things have happened than us getting into the play-offs and you've only got to look at Bournemouth last season, who were right down at the bottom to begin with and then went-up, to see that.

"We were miles behind at one stage and, although our main aim is to make sure we stay in the division after the start we had, we now want to finish strongly and see where we end up.

Baxter concluded by praising boss Nigel Clough: "He's made me a better player and a lot of the other lads too, Conor (Coady) for example, will tell you the same.

"He's got a great knowledge and has an immediate respect because of what he has achieved in the game.

"I believe in this squad of players and I believe in the manager and his staff."
