Nigel Clough reserved special praise for Jose Baxter, after his goal made it ten consecutive wins for United, following the 1-0 success over Carlisle United at Bramall Lane
The Gaffer remarked: "That goal was worthy of winning any football match. He did exceptionally well to take the pass from Conor Coady in one movement and the side footed finish was textbook stuff.
"It was a high quality goal from a very technically gifted player."
Clough also revealed a number of players picked up knocks against the Cumbrians and looking ahead to Monday's clash with Preston at Deepdale, the Blades boss acknowledged every player within the squad has a part to play in the weeks ahead.
He continued: "We moved Jamie Murphy down the middle in the second-half to give us a bit of pace if we had to go longer and Jose Baxter was struggling with an injury.
"Stefan Scougall and Ryan Flynn also had to be taken off and at the end Jamie was on his knees. Michael Doyle was terrific and led by example as he always does.
"We have emphasised after each win how important the squad is and will continue to be as we progress. Arguably the player that started this run, Shaun Miller, hasn't featured much since his goal in extra-time at Fulham, but the likes of him, Billy Paynter and Matt Hill have all contributed along the way.
"Stephen McGinn is another one, as is Terry Kennedy who was man of the match against Peterborough, every player within the squad is important to us."
