Hoping to celebrate with a win

20 March 2014

Nigel Clough is hoping that the Blades can round off Saturday's 125th birthday celebrations with a victory.

The build up to the Sky Bet League One encounter with table-toppers Wolves will be dominated by activities planned to mark United's birthday bash.

"It is a special weekend, it is great to be part of it," said Clough. "This is a major anniversary and a special day in the history of the Club and we're delighted that we go into the game on the back of a good run.

"There's a feel food factor around the Club at the moment and hopefully we can add to it. There will be a good crowd, a great atmosphere and everyone is looking forward to it.

"But when you strip it all back, we are still playing the top of the league and there's points to play for. It will be a good measure to see how far we have come and it will be great to round off the day with a positive result."
