Business continues

4 June 2014

Blades Managing Director Mal Brannigan insists the Club will continue to conduct business in a professional manner during the close season, despite continuous speculation in the media.

Speaking this week, Brannigan remarked: "We prefer to keep our business quiet, until it becomes tangible and real, that's why we haven't commented on any rumours this summer.

"If other Clubs want to disclose what they are doing, then that is absolutely fine.

"What I will say is that we aren't in a position where we have to sell our best players this summer and that is good news for everyone connected to the Club because we don't want to be having to re-build the squad too much."

United's MD added: "Hopefully we can announce a couple of signings in the next seven to ten days but again, we will not do so until everything is tied up."
