They may have only been back in training for four days, but the United playing staff are certainly being put through their paces.
Having reported back to Shirecliffe last Thursday, the lads have worked tirelessly, completing double sessions, both at the training ground and at facilities within the city.
Following Monday's gruelling session at Rother Valley Country Park, Tuesday morning saw the Blades head to Woodburn Road Stadium for some track work before returning to the Redtooth Academy for some ball work.
Speaking briefly about pre-season to date, Stefan Scougall remarked: "No footballer likes pre-season, but it is something that needs doing and needs doing properly.
"It has been a tough four days for the lads and there is more to come towards the end of the week, but everyone is getting stuck in and trying to enjoy it!
"But the Gaffer certainly wasn't kidding when he told us it would be a tough pre-season."
