United in the fast lane with John Holland Sales

2 July 2014

One of the leading prestige and sports car businesses in Yorkshire has become Sheffield United's Official Shirt Sponsor for the forthcoming season.

The initial one year, six figure deal will see the name of John Holland Sales on the front of both the Home and Away shirt of the new adidas Blades playing kit.

With a turnover in excess of £30m, John Holland Sales serve UK and international markets, buying and selling high profile makes including Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Maserati, Mercedes and Rolls Royce.

Established for more than 40 years, the company is based at Meadowhall Riverside, off Meadowhall Road, Sheffield where it has a 23,000 sq ft showroom - home to a remarkable collection of luxury vehicles. Previously locations were at West Bar and also close to The Blades' Bramall Lane stadium.

The family firm is headed up by Managing Director Mark Holland and General Manager Tony Entwistle.

Mark said: "We are thrilled with this new partnership - another significant milestone in the track record of John Holland Sales which has a UK and international client base."

Tony added: "As a Blade, I am extremely proud and excited that we have become the Club's Main Shirt sponsor. It can only bring us immeasurable exposure both locally and nationally."

Sheffield United's Head of Commercial Paul Reeves commented: "We are delighted to be working with a locally based brand and organisation which has a terrific reputation for quality and service. This is a one year deal with an option to extend.

Today's announcement is the third significant commercial partnership announced by United in a matter of days. It follows details of adidas becoming the Club's official kit supplier and DBL Logistics becoming the back of shirt sponsor.

The Club's new look home kit will be unveiled on Friday.

John Holland Sales proudly supports the Think Jessica Campaign, a national campaign which raises awareness to postal and telephone scams that targets the most vulnerable members of society.

John Holland Sales sponsor 21-year-old Sheffield-based Marcus Woodbine who is competing in the Spanish Moto 2 Championship, which is widely regarded as the best competition outside the World Moto Grand Prix Championship.

John Holland Sales support the Chesterfield-based Kids 'n' Cancer which specialises in securing Proton Therapy treatment for children with different forms of cancer and at the same time helping and funding living and accommodation for patients who receive government funding for their treatment.
