Westlake extends Stags loan

8 January 2014

Darryl Westlake will stay with Mansfield Town until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old defender has been a regular for the Stags since moving there on-loan in November. Westlake has started nine games, including two in the FA Cup under Paul Cox.

Meanwhile, Nigel Clough and his coaching staff have this week welcomed back Aaron Barry, Joe Ironside, Callum McFadzean and Elliott Whitehouse from their successful loan spells away from Bramall Lane.

For the record Barry was a regular in Dumbarton's side in the Scottish First Division, McFadzean and Whitehouse both tasted first-team football in League Two, whilst Ironside impressed in the Conference Premier at Halifax Town.

Last week, first-year professional Jahmal Smith joined Conference North outfit Harrogate Town on a month's loan to further his development.
